Meet the Grays!
Hello! We are Marcus, Jess and our 4 children are Danielle, Robert, Archer, and Dulaney. In the Summer of 2021 we decided to make our dreams a reality.
What have we learned in year one? We learned all about the highs and lows of farming from birth to death. We have see the beauty of the whole life cycle. We have been able to improve our soil here at the farm and we have been able to expand from a few animals to a focused specific group of animals. We have found what we want to work with and what we would like to pass on. We have learned about the 2 purpose rule. Every animal or tool on the farm must serve 2 purposes, if it does not, then it is something that we will do without. We have become carpenters, plumbers, fencers, electricians, processors, and so much more. It has been the most rewarding adventure in our lives and careers.
Our goals have remained simple. We want to be stewards of the land, give back more than we take. We want to teach our children how to work with nature and not to fight it. We also want to be a part of a great community where people work together and care for one another. We plan to make these fields full again, to fill homes with our bounty, and to teach anyone who wants to learn all about the world of regenerational farming, working with pollinators and not against them, and how to be the best steward for the land.
We hope that you will join us on this journey. Please feel free to reach out to us via email or on our social media platforms.
