Butterfly Gardens
We have are in the process of building our butterfly gardens. We welcome you to come enjoy them this Spring. Sit and admire the many types of pollinators that visit. We believe the butterfly gardens are never really finished, we will constantly be adding and hanging what is happening. We also like to plant for all the seasons for our pollinators so that there are things blooming early spring through late fall. We ask that you not pick any of the flowers. We also have the sunflower garden where you can immerse yourself in their beauty. We ask that you also not pick the sunflowers early in the season, we want to make sure they have their time in the sun (haha). Toward the end of the season we welcome you to pick them for a small fee. They are great to keep in the freezer and put out for the birds in the colder months!
*We also offer service to help you get your own pollinator gardens off the ground. There are many different ways you can use our services. For a small fee we can come out to your property and make recommendations on where and what to plant, we can sell you some started plants, or we can design and build your garden for you. Each garden differs as will price*
Meat and Dairy
Sheep: We keep pasture raised Sheep. Typically to sell the ewes either to the market or to individuals.
Pigs: We keep pasture raised pigs. Selling piglets as well as processed meats
Dexter Cows: We use our cows for meat as well as milk. They are also raised out on the pasture.
Ducks: Our awesome ducks live out on the pond and love life swimming and eating the bugs. They are also pasture raised and produce some really awesome eggs... their eggs are especially great for bakers!
Chickens: We have 2 groups of chickens. Our pasture raised layers produce some amazing eggs of varying colors. They love to eat the bugs in the fields and keep our spider/grass hopper populations in check around the farm. In our chicken tractors we raise broilers. In about 6 weeks time we have healthy pasture raised chicken ready for the dinning room table.
Turkeys: pasture raised and ready for Thanksgiving!
Bees: we need to save the pollinators and Kitchen Sink farm is dedicated to keeping their habitats alive. We provide ample nectar and pollen resources as well as nest sites. WE DO NOT SPRAY.
Fruits and Veggies (Seasonally):
We will have veggies and fruits seasonally and also what we can cultivate in our greenhouse. We will keep everyone posted with what is available and when.
